Hungry, Anyone?

Chilean "Completo"
During my mission in Chile I tasted...well, not a lot. Chilean food is rather bland, with few spices and many unhealthy elements (note the excessive avocado, mayo, and ketchup on the foot-long hot dog above).

So I ask, what about Greek food? Is it healthier? Does it have more flavor?

According to a blog about Greek cuisine, it uses "a plethora of different spices" and makes up "one of the healthiest diets in the world." Basic staples include olive oil, wheat, wine, fruits, vegetables, honey, and fish.

Tonight I bought salad and baklava from Greek N' Go. I was pleased. Comment below if you want the address!

  1. I freaking love baklava! My friend Arie Ionedes used to make it all the time for me. I find Greek food interesting because of the use of spices not from the region --because of the spice trade they had a lot more versatility.

  2. I had a roommate who was from chile, and I must admit you are right about their food. Makes sense that it is so healthy, fish is so healthy its practically a vegetable.
