Downfalls of Feminism

I'm sick of people thinking that it is alright to tear others down in order to strengthen their own arguments. What happened to supporting yourself, but not at the expense of others?

  1. I completely agree with what you are saying. Women want to be treated as equals but some take it so far as to demean men in order to feel superior. It seems as though they have fallen into the trap that they were trying to originally escape from although this time they are not the victim. Some woman may feel like they need to be this harsh in order to change the frame of reference that had been held for so long that men were superior but that shouldn't be the case. They need to be careful that we don't fall into another extreme where woman feel entitled, empowered and superior to men. Like you said being equal does not mean being the same. It's the same rights for us all even though we are different.

  2. I completely agree with this! Thomas Hobbes of the enlightenment said that people are inherently self-interested but it can become evil and this is evidence of that. Self-interest is one thing but tearing down others is another. It's just interesting to think that feminists are creating disorder as they are seeking to gain order and equality.

  3. I have to say, I really like your point of view on this topic. I think men are really hated on today, and it's really destructive. I think this is part of why we see so many boys and young men failing in today's world.
